IMPORTANT INFORMATION FROM THE NORTHFIELD FIRE DEPARTMENT - BURNING PERMIT AND PROCEDURES
Fill out an application for permit for open burning. It can be obtained at the Fire Department (on the right-hand wall of the entrance) or by printing the form below. The completed form may be returned to the Fire Department or emailed to admin@nafrs.org. The Fire Chief must sign the permit in order for it to be effective. (*Note: A recreational bonfire, so long as it is less than 3' in height and less than 3' in diameter, does not require a burn permit. A fire, any larger, does require a permit. See diagrams, regarding recreational fire guidelines.) Once you receive the burning permit, follow all instructions listed.
